Windows cannot recognize .ica file even the right Citrix Client is installed

Windows cannot recognize .ica file even the right Citrix Client is installed If the right Citrix Client is installed on the PC, user should be able to launch idea after user clicks Launch.   If user receives below message (Do you want to open or save launch.ica from http://www.bimco.org), it means Windows doesn’t recognize the .ica file.  Apparently windows doesn’t associate the right program to open .ica file.  It can be solved by chaning Set Associations in Control Panel or by doing the following:

1. Click the down arrow near by Save and select Save as;

2. save Launch.ica on Desktop;

3. go to Desktop and find Launch.ica file and then right click on Lauch.ica file;

4. choose Open With and select Choose Default Program;

5. first select Always use the selected program to open this kind of file and then click Browse;

6. navigate to C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client for 64 bit OS) and select wfcrun32.exe;

7. click Open and then click Ok;

8. restart browser and try to launch idea again. Problem should be resolved.
